Meet Your Edison High School Assistant Principals

  • My name is Brandon Duncan and I have the privilege of serving as an Assistant Principal at Edison High School.  I look forward to working with the staff, students, and the community to make this a great school year.

I have spent the past seven years as a 4th grade teacher at Dolores Huerta Elementary School.  I have been teaching in the district for ten years.  I am a graduate of the University of the Pacific and Southern New Hampshire University, where I earned my degree in Athletic Training and Sports Management respectively.  I also completed my Administrative credential at Teacher’s College of San Joaquin.

My goal is to build relationships with all students, so that I can provide support to help them achieve all of their goals. I am here to help in any way I can and communication is most important, so I can help address any concerns. I look forward to meeting all of the E-HOUSE community that I am not already familiar with, and helping to continue to make Edison the best possible school it can be.

  • Dear Edison High School Students, Families, Staff, and Community,

My name is Anthony DeAngelo and it is an honor to be serving as an Assistant Principal here at Edison High School. I hold a BA in History from Fresno State and an MS in Educational Administration from National University.

This academic year marks my 14th year with Stockton Unified, my 7th year serving as an administrator, and my 3rd year as Assistant Principal at Edison High School. Prior to joining Edison, I taught at Franklin High School, Commodore Stockton Skills, and Pacific Law Academy, and served in administrative roles at San Joaquin Elementary and Chavez High School

My vision for Edison High School is to aid students in opening doors to “unrealized” opportunities.  This begins with cultivating a nurturing environment where students feel safe, valued, and included.  We will set high academic standards with appropriate support and interventions to ensure ALL students meet their academic goals. This will be accomplished through the use of our AVID programming and the PLC process.  I will work collaboratively with staff, parents, and community partners to support students through their academic endeavors.

Together, we will continue the storied tradition of academic, social, athletic, and extracurricular excellence that is synonymous Edison High School.

  • My name is Maribel Palacios and I am excited to join the Stockton Unified School District as the Assistant Principal at Edison High School. It will be a privilege to have the opportunity to work along all the hundreds of staff, thousands of students, and thousands of community members and providers to make this next school year the best yet to come.

I have had the opportunity to start my career in the community as a case manager for the Stanislaus county, assessing, monitoring the needs of our families and connecting them to community providers that can meet families where they are at, and become successful in their personal lives. I transferred my case management skill and worked at Merced Union High School District as a counselor for five years, then pursued my administrative credential. This will be my 4th year as an administrator. Something that has kept me saine has been my passion and love is music. I am a musician and have been for the past almost 29 years. I enjoy playing with musicians as it is a universal language that can be picked up anywhere in the world. I have continued playing music with the Modesto Junior College Community Band and will until I cannot anymore. You can catch me playing out in the music community; keep your eyes and ears open.

My vision for Edison High School is to build a nurturing community where everyone feels comfortable and supported to explore and try new things. This includes staff, students, and community members. It is important that we learn how to understand each other and realize that we are all more similar than we are different. We all have different fortes, and sometimes it takes a little inspiration, trial and error to find out what our gift is. I became an administrator to be the advocate for everyone's needs, and although it is not an easy task, it is a pleasure to be able to support and encourage as many staff as possible. By being able to take care of our staff, they are able to take care of our students, so it becomes a win-win situation. I look forward to working with the E-House community so that together we can help our students become successful community leaders.

  • I started my tenure with SUSD in 2001 working as ParaProfessional, Long-Term Substitute Teacher and then a Credential Teacher in 2014. Over the years, I have worked at Walton Special Day School, Edison HS, Franklin HS and Chavez HS. My Extra-Curricular activities included Football and Baseball program facilitator as the Varsity Head Coach.

MY VISION FOR EHS Based on my past experiences, working for SUSD, I learn to value instruction with integrity for “All Student Learners’”. Developing an understanding of modifying instruction is crucial for all learners’ engaging in the educational process. EHS is the “Flagship” for AVID demonstration within the district, and also known for managing the densest population of all four comprehensive high schools along with its continuous involvement with the South Side community and surrounding areas. It is important to move “Onward” with the District Vision and serve our students at the highest level. As an Administrator my teaching and coaching philosophy is built upon the years of invaluable mentorship I have received. I am committed to “paying it forward” for the prosperity of serving all students.
