What is Title 1?
- Title I provides additional academic support and learning opportunities for students.
- The program is intended to help ensure that all students meet the California Common Core State Standards.
Goals of Title I:
- Increase academic achievement
- Provide direct instructional support to students
- Provide professional development to teachers
- Promote parent education and involvement
Parents have the right to….
- Ask for meetings and training
- Review the school’s academic achievement data
- Review the parent involvement plan and activities included in the School Plan for Student Achievement
- Review and modify the school’s Title I Parental & Family Engagement Policy and School-Parent Compact
School Site Council (SSC)
- Provides parents with an opportunity to be involved in the academic program of the school.
- Develops, monitors, and evaluates the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) to implement programs and services that support students.
Collaboration (working together) between schools and families is essential to increase student achievement.
PARENT AND FAMILY ENGAGEMENT POLICY
- Every Title I school, in collaboration with parents, must prepare a site-level parental and family engagement policy.
- The Policy describes how the school will involve parents in a meaningful, ongoing, and timely way.
- The policy also describes how parents will be involved in the planning, review, and improvement of the school’s Title I program and activities
SCHOOL – PARENT COMPACT
- The Compact describes how the school and parents share the responsibility for student achievement
- It is developed in collaboration among parents, teachers, and students
- The Compact is distributed annually with the Title I Parent and Family Engagement Policy
Que es el Título I?
- El Título I brinda apoyo académico adicional y oportunidades de aprendizaje para los estudiantes.

- Revisar y modificar la Política de participación de los padres y la familia del Título I y el Pacto entre la escuela y los padres
Comite Consejo del Sitio Escolar (SSC)
- Proporciona a los padres la oportunidad de participar en el programa académico de la escuela.
- Desarrolla, supervisa y evalúa el Plan Escolar para el Logro Estudiantil (SPSA) para implementar programas y servicios que apoyen a los estudiantes.
La colaboración (trabajo conjunto) entre escuelas y familias es esencial para aumentar el rendimiento de los estudiantes.
POLÍTICA DE PARTICIPACIÓN DE PADRES Y FAMILIAS
Cada escuela del Título I, en colaboración con los padres, debe preparar una política de participación de los padres y la familia a nivel del sitio.
- La Política describe cómo la escuela involucrará a los padres de una manera significativa, continua y oportuna.
- La política también describe cómo los padres participarán en la planificación, revisión y mejora del programa y las actividades del Título I de la escuela.
PACTO ENTRE LA ESCUELA Y LOS PADRES
El Pacto describe cómo la escuela y los padres comparten la responsabilidad del logro estudiantil.It is developed in collaboration among parents, teachers, and students
- El Pacto se distribuye anualmente con la Política de participación de padres y familias del Título I
